Let's face it.

In today's world, most people need more than one stream of income.

Unless you have a really awesome, high-paying job, there's a high likelihood that you need a little extra help covering bills every month. That's fine, most of us are there or have been there. What isn't fine however, is scraping together your pennies at the beginning of every month just to get by, leaving nothing left to do the things you enjoy.

In order to take part in hobbies and activities that allow us to unwind, we unfortunately need cash. That's where side hustles come in. If any of this has resonated with you so far, read on to see how we can help you make money online by taking advantage of the Gameflip marketplace.

What Are Side Hustles?

Before we get to the good stuff, let's take a second to really talk about side hustles. You've probably heard a lot about "side hustles" and "hustle culture" these days, and that's for good reason. People have been increasingly turning to alternative ways of making money (i.e. "hustles") instead of relying on a company to give them a paycheck every week or two weeks. Not relying on a boss gives you a certain amount of freedom that a "regular" job can't compete with, and who doesn't want to at least feel free sometimes?

People and the hustle gods that came before us have found numerous ways of making money online and in person, but here are a few we have seen pretty frequently:

  • Driving for Uber

  • Starting Blogs

  • Dog Sitting

  • Becoming Virtual Assistants

  • Dog Walking

  • Starting a YouTube Channel

  • Taking Online Surveys

  • Garage Sales

  • Starting a Dropshipping Business

  • And many, many more

You might have noticed that the majority of these hustles don't seem all that bad. Heck, they might even be enjoyable! That's really the crux of side hustles, they're infinitely better than working retail or maintaining a desk job, AND you make some extra cash. What's not to love?

Gameflip's robust marketplace contains all kinds of digital goods and services, and we're ready to help you get paid.

When people visit us, they might think that all we have, all we support is digital video games, video game gift cards, and digital content for a swath of online games.

That's not the case.

The things you can sell online with the Gameflip marketplace are really only limited by your imagination, and while we are video game-focused, we definitely don't draw the line there!

Here are some of the outlandish things we support the sale of on Gameflip.com:

  • Pokemon from your Pokemon Go collection

  • Unused consoles, controllers, and other physical game peripherals

  • CS:GO skins you own

  • Unused gift cards

  • Professional Services

That's right, just about anything you own that can be transferred in some way can be listed and sold on Gameflip.com. Nabbed a couple special shiny Pokemon that you think someone will shell out some money for? Throw them on the store. Tired of looking at those PS4 controllers at the back of your closet now that the previous generation PlayStation has been replaced in your living room? Post all of your aging consoles and peripherals on Gameflip. It's like a digital garage sale without all of the haggling and old people.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about Gameflip is the fact that you can create listings for that stack of gift cards you're never going to use.

Whether those gift cards are for stores you never shop at, or if you just keep forgetting to use them, those gift cards can be transformed into glorious extra cash that you can use for more important things like bills, groceries, and sweet deals in the Gameflip marketplace. As we're sure you already know, each one of those are pretty high on the list of life essentials.

Now, you can list any gift card you have as long as it's 1.) unclaimed, and 2.) unable to expire. Additionally, codes that can only be redeemed in person are NOT allowed to be listed in our marketplace. It has to be a code that can be redeemed online.

These are some of the gift cards we have in stock at all times:

While our reputation has been built up in the realm of video games, we also carry gift cards for a number of stores and major retailers, including:

You can buy and sell any of these gift cards at any time with Gameflip, as long as they fit our criteria. If you're curious about selling your unused gift cards on Gameflip, you can learn more about the rules and processes right here.

That's the question on everyone's mind, isn't it? The core of every hustle idea is based on how much more money it can produce for you, and becoming one of the elite sellers on the Gameflip marketplace is no different.

But here's the thing...

The potential for extra income on our platform is virtually limitless.

The more listings you post, the more you sell, the more you make. It's that simple. You'll eventually run out of controllers and peripherals from previous generations to sell obviously, but nothing's stopping you from engaging in one of the oldest side hustle ideas: garage sale flipping.

Everybody drives past a garage sale where the people don't know what they have is really worth, they just want to get rid of their "junk". Pick up some items, clean them up and make sure they work, sell 'em on Gameflip. Easy money.

The same concept applies to basically any other item you can imagine to sell on our platform, you just have to know where to look! Once you have your listings posted and items prepared, selling on Gameflip is the best way to pocket more money on your own schedule. It's essentially your own online business and a fun side hustle combined, just without the start up costs.

Sounds awesome, right?

We're ready to get you on the path to financial freedom, but don't quit your day job just yet. There are a few important things Gameflip side hustlers should know before getting involved with this huge market.

What Are the Rules for Selling on Gameflip?

Like any online marketplace, Gameflip has rules that need to be followed. These aren't in place to reduce your earnings or hamper your selling ability, but instead to protect you as sellers, our buyers, and our reputation as a high-quality service provider.

Here are some important rules for selling on Gameflip:

All communication must be conducted on the platform - This is pretty standard, and if you've used Fiverr or Upwork, you're already following this rule. It's easy to take your communication elsewhere, but consider this: if we can't verify what was said, how can you commit to the protections we've set up for our buyers and sellers? If you got scammed after taking your conversation elsewhere, we can't protect you or fix anything, no matter how much we want to.

Prohibited items can not be listed for sale - We said you can list just about anything on the Gameflip marketplace, and we meant it. However, there is a tiny invisible asterisk in that statement that will be obvious to most people.

But for those who it's not obvious for, let us make it clear.

PROHIBITED ITEMS ON GAMEFLIP:

  • Drugs and drug paraphernalia

  • Food, vitamins, perishables

  • Alcohol

  • Weapons

  • Live animals (come on)

  • Salacious materials

  • The selling of likes/followers for social media

These are some of the things we don't allow sellers to list on our platform, which should give you a pretty good idea of how things are. If you want a more comprehensive list of things that are prohibited for sale, you can check out this post by Gameflip Help.

There are plenty of other hustle jobs you could dabble in. You could pet sit, become a business insider, do graphic design, or take on some freelance writing gigs. OR, you could capitalize on the cool stuff you have laying around to make some money on an awesome online store, or offer your professional services online. Of course, you could also do both at the same time, but only with Gameflip. We aren't like most other online platforms. We don't have online surveys for you to take, we don't want your spare room or storage space, and we definitely don't need you to have a bachelor's degree.

We just want to be the hustle idea that puts extra cash in your pocket. Whether that's a few extra bucks or way more money is really up to you, but we're here for you if you want to make it happen!
